You have to be kidding… bacon and ice cream?

Yes, you read correctly, bacon and ice cream! It’s actually called The Blind Pig and it is delicious! I know, it sounds like a weird combination. But the salt in the bacon offsets the ice cream just enough to create a tasty treat for the palate.

The desert was one of the creative culinary tasty treats at tonight’s third annual ” Exceptional Chefs Celebrating Exceptional Education.

The event was held at the community center at Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville Kentucky to benefit The Carriage House, a school that’s been recognized for their success  integrating children with autism and other developmental disabilities into preschool classrooms.

The turnout for the event was excellent the food was even better. The event was masterfully hosted by Brown-Forman’s chief entertainment officer Tim Laird, who is also author of the entertaining and educational book That’s Entertaining!

Tastings included offerings from Brown-Forman, Anchorage Café, The Comfy Cow, Mert’s Cakes, Selena’s Village Anchor, Vincenzo’s Restaurant, Wiltshire on Market and more.
