TGIF Local Lunch Post – Spring Break! Adventures in Local, Independent Dining.

193

The sunny and mild weather forecast holds  much promise for Metro Louisville and surrounding neighbors this weekend so make sure you get off to a great start with a delicious lunch today. Many of  us will be probably eating brunch instead of breakfast on Sunday as we spring ahead an hour for Daylight Savings Time.   So, prepare to lose an hour and gain a meal.

Check out Louisville Originals for the some of the best suggestions in supporting locally owned and operated establishments.  Check out recipes from your favorite chefs and keep up with food and dining events in town.

Keep up with growers and restaurant goers by grabbing  a copy of Edible Louisville as spring has sprung, at least in the editorial sense, with the fresh March-April issue.  There’s a terribly cute chick on the cover.

We hope to see everyone wearing the green a little earlier this March at the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, this Saturday along the Baxter and Bardstown corridor staring at 3:00 p.m.  Options for fine dining, family fun and pub grub are many along the parade route. Enjoy! And hug a Hibernian when you get the chance.

Next week’s TGIF Local Lunch Post will launch some new features and will be celebrating the diverse, delicious…potato, as our dining them.

Thanks for sharing your dining and shopping suggestions for this column. The TGIF Local Lunch Post will have a Facebook page for you to send us all the late breaking meals and deals in Kentuckiana.

Keep Louisville Weird and well-fed!
