University of Louisville ranks third in state for post-graduate salaries

Louisville, Ky., – It’s no secret going to college can be outrageously expensive. That leads a majority of students to rely on banks and other loan institutions for the dreaded student loans. Naturally, college kids want to go where they can get “the most bang for their buck” and graduate into a career that pays a salary high enough to pay off that debt and avoid eating mac-and-cheese for decades. SmartAsset, a New York financial technology company, has conducted a recent study ranking the nation’s best value schools. Broken down by state, the University of Louisville comes in third behind…

Let’s Get Fired UP for Another Week in Louisville KY

Sure, the big news may have been that big Rand Paul announcement, but here are some very interesting stories making the rounds in Louisville KY this week: This is NOT Hazing: A U of L fraternity, TKE, is being investigated because members forced pledges to be designated drivers, paint themselves for sporting events, and, if you can believe it, carry books. Lately I’ve been feeling like an awkward adult–going to work, paying my bills, being responsible, and feeling like an impersonator the entire time. I don’t feel like an adult. Somewhere deep in my psyche, I feel more like a college student still. When introducing myself, I catch myself trying to say I’m twenty-one. When describing events mid-college career, I date them as only “a year or two ago.” What the…? Still, I didn’t think much of it….

Cards Stumble to Win Over WKU, 70-60

RUSSCUED! Russ Smith provided the spark for a 14-0 Louisville second half rally to overcome the upstart Hilltoppers. Smith continued his run of good form with a game high 23 points. In a largely lackluster effort from UofL, Smith was the only consistently effective Cardinal. Western Kentucky arrived to the KFC Yum! Center ready to play. The Toppers opened with a 16-5 run, quickly putting the Cards on their heels. Louisville remained disorganized for nearly the entire game. Even during their best possessions, the Cardinal offense was off pace and sloppy. The failures of the offense rest partly on the…
