LouisvilleKY’s THE WEEK — New Ranking, New Restaurant and Plenty to Do

Most of us really enjoyed the city’s first week in the Top 5 of college football, cranking up the volume on activities as the calendar signaled that autumn is here. I saw the Showtime series, “A Season With Florida State Football” and loved seeing how Jimbo Fisher and his bunch reacted to losing. It was interesting to see the Seminoles go through a practice at Waterfront Park in the pre game and enter into Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, where they were as surprise as fans were that the Cards put a 63-20 pounding on them. Louisville’s ReSurfaced to return Oct. 15- 17 along river

LOUISVILLE, Ky., – The popular ReSurfaced will return for one weekend in October at a new site near 10th and Rowan streets along the Ohio River. “ReSurfaced: Three Days at 10th Street” will be held in a parking lot under the I-64 overpass near the city’s newest public art project called Connect/Disconnect (see previous story).  It will feature music, art, food, DJ’s and a special Fried Chicken Throwdown cook-off. “People loved the first two ReSurfaced projects on West Main Street and they will also love this new site that brings a completely different feel and vibe – with the city…


ReSurfaced Returns to Downtown Louisville KY in June

 From Louisville Metro. . .  LOUISVILLE, Ky.  The popular ReSurfaced initiative, which transformed a vacant lot on Main Street in downtown Louisville into an art/performance/beer garden that attracted thousands of people, will reopen in June with a bourbon and local food theme. ReSurfaced: The Bourbon Edition will launch Thursday, June 4 and coincide with The Kentucky Bourbon Affair™ fantasy camp, sponsored by the Kentucky Distillers’ Association.
