LouisvilleKY’s THE WEEK: A Sweet Artistic Treat For Your Sweetie

Perhaps the best, and surely the sweetest, treat of the week was last night’s reception at Cellar Door Chocolates. Two of the loveliest Rusty Satellite alumni have teamed up to offer Barnhart Bars, a series of chocolate bars packaged with artistic, romantic images of women. Erika Chavez-Graziano, the entrepreneur behind Cellar Door, and Jeaneen Barnhart, the local artist known for beautiful images of horses and women, debuted the Barnhart Bars at Cellar Door’s 4th Street location Thursday to an approving, capacity crowd. LouisvilleKY’s THE WEEK: Swan’s Song and Seven Sense, Flugtag, and Birthdays

Ready for your final free weekend before football season? There’s plenty to do, starting with the Flugtag experience down at the Waterfront, where 40 groups will push their crafts off the edge of a 22-foot high platform. LouisvilleKY’s THE WEEK: Statue’s Limitations, Suddenbreakingnews, Jokes and Parties

As John Asher might tell you, it’s just eight days until the 142nd Run for the Roses, and we’ve already begun to celebrate. Here’s what’s worth paying attention to. Kentucky Name Drops: Exaggerator. Suddenbreakingnews. Nyquist. Creator. Mohaymen. To have some proper Derby conversations, learn that these are names of horses who will likely be in the Derby. 20 will start. Nyquist is the undefeated favorite. Buy a Racing form, or ask anyone for their opinion, if you want to know more. And listen to my interview with John Asher on the Rusty Satellite Show. No Joke – the Mark and…
