Frascelli’s makes a move!

Frascelli’s has added the word Pub to its name and changed locations but it is the same good food we’ve come to love in Oldham County. The restaurant moved  to 4113 Murphy Lane (near the intersection of Murphy Lane and Westport Rd) and opened it’s door last night.  The restaurant needed a more populated area to keep them busy. Well they got it, just seconds from the Ford Plant, just a minute from the Snyder Freeway, near shopping centers and other pizza restaurants. If you haven’t tried their cheese pizza you’re missing a real treat! Bob Sokoler is a former…

Does Hollywood have any sense of what America wants to see at the Movies?

Some of you may remember my brother Corey who’s an Attorney in the Bronx. Corey should have been a Movie Critic. He loves watching and reviewing movies. I used to get a thrill having him on my morning show on 84 WHAS in the early 2000’s. Well Corey is still reviewing movies. In preparation for the upcoming Academy Awards,( and the hoopla surrounding a movie that has already exceeded the Peter Principle), Corey has outdone himself with this review of “THE ARTIST”. Take it away Corey! Years ago I wrote a story about the day I almost drowned in the…

Surviving Your Serengeti – How to improve your relationships!

I’m at my 1st international Cyberstars MasterMind and thrilled to be a member, While here I met Stefan Swanepoel who is the author of “Surviving Your Serengeti”  or as I call it “Surviving The Serengeti”. It’s a great concept, identify who you are as an animal and learn what your wife, husband friends and business associates are so you can interact with them and understand them on their level.  The concept is not new, what is new is the comparison to animals in the Serengeti. It’s a process that allows you to easily identify personality traits. Watch the interview and…

There are a lot of electronics items to look forward to in 2012 and beyond, here are just a couple that could go on your wish list: 1) Flat screen TVs are becoming larger, thinner, brighter and clearer.  One of the big catchphrases for 2012 will be OLED screens (OLED stands for organic light emitting diodes). Up until now OLED screens were only found in smart phones . But both Samsung and LG were showing off new 55…

2012 Consumer Electronics Show. I wish I was there!.

I love technology, even more than that I love you technology. When I was a reporter for TV, I used to make a yearly pilgrimage to the consumer electronics show. Nowadays (as a Louisville realtor )I can only read about it or watch video feeds from it. This year there are more than 3100 companies showing off 20,000 new products. There is no way to come up a list of the top 10 products being introduced this year, at least not yet (check back next week). But here are some items worth talking about. Toshiba is showing off a new…

Louisville Home Sales up as 2011 comes to an end!

Despite a very slight increase in interest rates, the number of homes going under contract in December 2011 was up some 15 percent when compared to December 2010. The number of homes sold was up about 1.5 percent. December is notoriously slow for home sales so even a small increase is a positive sign as we head into 2012. The outlook for this New Year seams very positive. Interest rates look as if they will stay in the high 3 or low 4 %. The price of homes continues at a 4 plus year low. The median sales price of…
