LOUISVILLE, Ky., – After more than two and one half years and over two million construction hours, Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities Company’s new 640-megawatt natural gas combined-cycle generating unit — known as Cane Run Unit 7 or CR7 for short— is now commercially available, providing customers with another source of safe, reliable energy.
