She was elected by the Festival’s Board of Directors at its annual meeting tonight. Willis is Major Gift Officer at the American Red Cross. Louisville, KY.   – Looking for a bargain? The Kentucky Derby Festival will hold its 17th annual Yard Sale this Friday and Saturday, June 8 and 9, at the KDF office at 1001 South Third Street in Old Louisville. The sale will run from8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday. The Yard Sale will feature many items including event t-shirts, Derby Festival Pins, posters from years past, glassware, Christopher Radko collector’s ornaments, and other pieces that span the Festival’s history. LouisvilleKY woman makes KDF history at Hole In One Golf Contest

Louisville, KY.  – A Louisville woman became the first female to ever get closest to winning the Stock Yards Bank Derby Festival $1 Million Dollar Hole-In-One Golf Contest. Jessica Grainger came closest to the pin tonight at Seneca Golf Course, hitting her tee shot 9 feet 2 ¼ inches from the cup. She won the $5,000 first prize. This was the first time Grainger has qualified for the finals. “I can’t believe it! Race Registration Closes at Midnight on April 24th Louisville, KY.   – The Kentucky Derby Festival is re-routing a small portion of the 2018 Kentucky Derby Festival miniMarathon/Marathon presented by Humana due to recent lane closures on Main Street between 4th and 7th Streets. The races are set for this Saturday, April 28. The changes will affect runners in both the mini and Marathon within the first two miles as runners are diverted around the construction along Main Street. The Stock Yards Bank Kentucky Derby Festival $1 Million Dollar Hole-In-One Golf Contest opens Thursday, April 19, and runs through Sunday, April 29.
