KDF Pegasus Pins go on sale this week in LouisvilleKY

Louisville, KY – The Kentucky Derby Festival is sharing another sign of spring, as they release the design for the 47th edition of their Pegasus Pin. The 2019 design is inspired by the Festival’s official uniform jacket, just released last spring. The plastic pin is a miniature version of the jacket in fuchsia and Caribbean blue.  Beginning in March, the pins will be available to the public and will sell for $6 each at 1,000 retail locations.  Louisville, KY. – Wish you could ride faster or go further on your bicycle? The Kentucky Derby Festival and PNC can help you do both through their NEW training program for bicyclists at all experience levels. Registration for the FREE PNC Tour de Lou Training Program is now open at KDF.org.  The eight-week training program includes free group rides led by the Louisville Bicycle Club. Training tips, like hand signals and rules of the road, as well as nutritional information will also be shared. Louisville, KY.   – Louisville-based Humana is now partnering with a local event that gets over 12,000 people in shape every year – the Derby Festival’s miniMarathon and Marathon. Louisville, KY. –  A crowd of 3,000 racing fans cheered Monday night as Texas Roadhouse and Ford Motor Company were named Champions at the Thorntons Great Bed Races. 40 teams pushed their decorated beds on wheels around the figure-eight course, competing for the fastest times. Texas Roadhouse won the Champions Division with a time of 33:45 and Ford Motor Company claimed the title in the Fun Division with a time of 34:23. KDF Poker Tournament takes to Louisville’s Waterfront Today

Louisville, KY.   – There is sure to be a full house at the 9th annual Kentucky Derby Festival Texas Hold‘Em Poker Tournament today (Tuesday, April 28).  The event returns on board the Belle of Cincinnati, which will be docked at Kroger’s Fest-a-Ville on the Waterfront. Boarding and check-in begin at 4 PM, with a one-hour cruise and tournament starting at 6 PM. The $125 Buy-In includes 10,000 in chips and a commemorative Texas Hold‘Em event pin.
