Acorns Awarded at Green Tie Bash

The big green event is going on at the Olmsted tonight, as the city’s Brightside organization is holding its annual fancy event. As part of the party, the second annual Acorn Awards are being handed out, recognizing those who do great green things. The awards are the brainchild of Gill Holland, who got the idea to recognize local people and corporations who are making things happen for the environment. Bash for Brightside and all things Green

My kelly green manicure is not just for St. Patrick’s Day, so it must be Green Tie Bash time! As usual, the event benefits Brightside and is presented by the Young Professional Association of Louisville and Louisville Urban League Young Professionals. (Full disclosure – I’m a former YPAL board member.) This year, we’ll be celebrating 25 years of beautifying our fair city.
