Louisville Guard Donovan Mitchell Earns First Team All-ACC Honors

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville sophomore guard Donovan Mitchell has been named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference five-man first team in a vote by league coaches and media.   The Greenwich, Conn. product was also selected to the ACC All-Defensive team after leading the conference in steals (66, 2.13 per game, 18th in the nation).  He is within eight steals of the UofL top ten for a season.   Joining Mitchell on the All-ACC first team are Duke guard Luke Kennard, North Carolina guard Justin Jackson, Wake Forest forward John Collins and Notre Dame forward Bonzie Colson. …

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville guard Donovan Mitchell is among the Top 30 players in consideration for the 2017 James. A. University of Louisville Men’s Basketball Team Achieves Academic and On-Court Success LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Louisville men’s basketball team has continued to produce successful results in their academic pursuits while also achieving on the court. The Cardinals collectively attained a 3.38 grade-point average for the 2016 spring semester, with 14 of 15 student-athletes earning a 3.0 or better GPA. Louisville, KY.  A crowd of 5,150 was on hand at Freedom Hall as the Purple Team defeated the White Team127-119 in the 42nd annual Kentucky Derby Festival Basketball Classic presented by Papa John’s.  IU recruit Thomas Bryant was named Purple Team MVP.
