Grand Marshals named for Louisville’s beloved parade

    Louisville, KY.  – This year’s Republic Bank Pegasus Parade will be a blast from the past for Festival fans. In honor of this year’s parade theme “ThrowbackThursday,” former coaching rivals and basketball fan favorites Joe B. Hall and Denny Crum will serve as the parade’s Co-Grand Marshals. Hall of Fame Coach Denny Crum a Hometown Hero….well, duh

According to the wisdom and knowledge of FaceBook, Coach Denny Crum will be the newest  notable to have a Hometown Hero mural.  Mayor Fischer will be there for ribbon cutting ceremony for DENNY’S LOUISVILLE Mural this Sunday, Feb. 26, 12:30 pm. The mural will be put up on the west-facing wall of The Marriott Courtyard Hotel across Main Street from the KFC YUM Center, adjacent to the courtyard of the LG&E Building.  There is a 2 pm tipoff at YUM for U of L and Pittsburg. Cardinals Notch Seventh Straight Win Against Syracuse

Rocking the 80s throwback uniforms, Kyle Kuric and Preston Knowles continued Louisville’s domination of Orangemen in stylish fashion.  Kuric led the Cards with 23 points and Knowles followed with 22. The Cards benefited greatly from the return of Rakeem Buckles who hadn’t played since Dec 27.  Louisville was at one point ahead of Syracuse by 20 points early in the second half, but Syracuse clawed its way back to close within 3 with 1:39 left.
