Six LouisvilleKY Breweries to Compete for the Winning Title at the 2nd Annual Craft Beer Throwdown  

Louisville, KY – Six local breweries are doing their part to end youth homelessness in our community by competing in the 2nd Annual Craft Beer Throwdown on Thursday, October 11. This popular event is spearheaded by the Coalition for the Homeless Associate Board and will benefit the organization’s efforts to end youth and young adult homelessness. It will be held at the Louisville Water Tower Park, 3005 River Road, from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Louisville, KY – In Louisville, approximately 850 young adults below the age of 25 become homeless each year, and currently the Coalition for the Homeless has a waiting list of 113 unaccompanied homeless youth in need of housing. Organizers of the city’s new Host Homes Pilot Project aim for this innovative program to create a solution to the crisis by providing homeless young adults with a stable home environment and support services while they navigate the process of finding and securing their own permanent housing or reuniting with family. Give-A-Jam to end LouisvilleKY homelessness set for December 21st

Louisville, Kentucky  –  The 7th Annual Give-A-Jam to End Homelessness will be held on Thursday, December 21st from 6:00pm-11:00pm at the Clifton Center, 2117 Payne Street. The evening will feature performances by local musicians and artists, soups from Louisville’s best chefs, a silent auction and a cash bar. From 2008 to 2009, 2009 to 2010, and again from 2010 to 2011, the number of homeless young adults in Louisville doubled, reaching a peak of 562 in 2013.
