Schwinn donates 100 kids’ bikes to LouisvilleKY youth in Ali’s memory

  Children will earn their bike by completing the Bike Sense program LOUISVILLE  – Mayor Greg Fischer announced this week that in memory of Muhammad Ali, the city and Schwinn Bicycle Co. will provide free bicycles to 100 children who earn the opportunity by completing Bike Louisville’s Bike Sense program at 12 Metro Parks and Recreation community centers. Public Meetings set for planned Sixth Street Bike Lanes in Louisville

Louisville, Ky.  (August 27, 2015) – Two public meetings are scheduled to share and receive feedback on plans to add bike lanes to Sixth Street from River Road south to Zane Street. The project is intended to improve the bicycle network by re-configuring lane widths and on-street parking between River Rd and Broadway, and reducing travel lanes between Broadway and Kentucky to provide a buffered bike lane.
