LOUISVILLE, KY (September 11, 2017) – The Old Louisville Neighborhood Council is proud to announce their inaugural Old Lou Brew Craft Beer Festival. Louisville’s finest independent brewers are coming together to bring you some great beer: Against the Grain; Akasha; BBC; Falls City; Great Flood, Goodwood; Holsopple; Mile Wide; Monnik; and Old Louisville Brewery. The ten brewers will be pouring Friday October 6 starting at 6pm until 10 pm at the Edison Center (701 W.Ormsby Avenue) a short walk from the edge of the Art Show in Old Louisville. And for fall beer lovers there will be Oktoberfest beers as well.
Admission is only $6 and that gets you one full size beer from a brewer of your choice. There will be live music from one of Louisville’s top bands Bridge 19. “Music with real passion, steel-toed drive, and the ability to fill the listener with intense wanderlust.” That’s how the band Bridge 19 describe themselves. It sounds like real craft beer listening music to us. We welcome Amanda Lucas, Audrey Cecil, Meg Samples, Jeff Faith, and Joey Thieman to Old Louisville! Check them out on facebook.com/bridge19.
Local food trucks will be cooking all night. If you want to come and bring your small children that’s fine, the brewers will card everyone! There is ample parking at the Edison Center and we are only a short walk or drive from the boundaries of the Art Show. Look for the Old Lou Brew Craft Beer Festival signs all around the perimeter of the art show pointing the way.
This event is a fundraiser for the Old Louisville Neighborhood Council, a nonprofit which works as an advocate for the community. We want everyone who loves beer or has come out for the Art Show in Old Louisville that weekend to keep the party going and join us for great beer, great food and great music. We are donating a portion of the proceeds to the Hurricane Harvey and Irma relief efforts through the One America Appeal.
Buy tickets at the gate or in advance at the Old Lou Brew website at oldloubrew.com or follow us on Facebook at Old Louisville Neighborhood.
