This week’s Jeffersontown Chamber podcast features a focus on the city’s new and growing Arts program, its historical museum, and the upcoming Business Expo.
Did you know there’s Beatles exhibit at the Museum, located just behind the Library? Local citizen Paul Ratterman has loaned his collection of Beatles memorabilia, including a vintage turntable, posters and plenty of albums, to the Museum through June. And unlike items you see in most museums, you can make an offer and purchase all of the Beatles items on display.
That’s according to Rhonda Rowland, who’s been Arts Program Manager for nearly two years, bringing a variety of arts programs to the city. Last fall, she was able to bring a great performance featuring Louisville Orchestra conductor Teddy Abrams to town. With an amphitheater planned in the next few years for the city, Rowland is excited about bringing even more arts-oriented events to the city.

There’s a whole lot of activity planned for the Ramada Hotel and Conference Center March 24. First, there’s a luncheon featuring 21C Hotel CEO Craig Greenberg as the keynote speaker. Then it’s the Business Expo, in which more than 130 vendors will be showcasing their businesses, including the Jeffersontown Chamber Podcast. The Taste of Jeffersontown, between 3 and 5, will include fee samples from more than two dozen local restaurants.
Mark Russell, Board Chair for the J-town Chamber, talked about all this, plus the upcoming Business Blasts, Golf Trail and Trivia Contest, in this week’s podcast.
The Business Expo, which runs March 24 from 1-5 p.m., is free to attend.
