I’ve been a Kentucky Homefront volunteer since 2001 and have loved every moment of the live audience recordings. from the Kentucky Theatre on 4th Street to the Clifton Center. The work that goes between booking to post-production includes stage direction, concessions, storytelling and fundraising. It is truly a labor of love . At Last, Cracker Barrel Comes to Valley Station

LOUISVILLE – Valley Station residents are finally getting their Cracker Barrel Old Country Store®. After almost eight years of consideration and planning, ground is being broken on the property at Dixie Highway and Bethany Lane this morning. The project is expected to be completed by mid-July. Flynn Brothers is the general contractor. Financing is being provided by Stock Yards Bank. The developer is Thieneman Real Estate. Boyd called me last night, complaining that the story that his Insider Louisville blog broke had been stolen and aired on the station without attribution. Yes, this kind of thing ticks us off. The big news yesterday was that the owners of Holiday World in Santa Claus, Ind. are talking about taking over the Kentucky Kingdom amusement park. As Terry Boyd detailed in depth yesterday at Insider Louisville, the fact that Koch family has admitted it is interested doesn’t mean any deal is imminent. The Voice Moves Beyond St. Matthews

Louisville Home Sales up as 2011 comes to an end!

Despite a very slight increase in interest rates, the number of homes going under contract in December 2011 was up some 15 percent when compared to December 2010. The number of homes sold was up about 1.5 percent. December is notoriously slow for home sales so even a small increase is a positive sign as we head into 2012.
