Extreme Park 2.0 Reopens, Named for Former Louisville Mayor Dave Armstrong

Louisville, KY. –  A crowd of 3,000 racing fans cheered Monday night as Texas Roadhouse and Ford Motor Company were named Champions at the Thorntons Great Bed Races. 40 teams pushed their decorated beds on wheels around the figure-eight course, competing for the fastest times. Texas Roadhouse won the Champions Division with a time of 33:45 and Ford Motor Company claimed the title in the Fun Division with a time of 34:23. Derby Festival BeerFest On Tap for Wednesday at Louisville’s Fest-A-Ville

KDF Poker Tournament takes to Louisville’s Waterfront Today

Louisville, KY.   – There is sure to be a full house at the 9th annual Kentucky Derby Festival Texas Hold‘Em Poker Tournament today (Tuesday, April 28).  The event returns on board the Belle of Cincinnati, which will be docked at Kroger’s Fest-a-Ville on the Waterfront. Final Swings Today for KDF Hole-In-One Finals at Louisville’s Seneca Golf Course

Louisville, KY.  – 56 golfers will take a swing at $1 million in today’s Finals for the Stock Yards Bank Kentucky Derby Festival $1 Million Dollar Hole-In-One Golf Contest.  The Finals begin at 6 p.m. tonight (Tuesday, April 28) at Seneca Golf Course, Hole #8. Each Finalist gets one shot at the green, set up 150 yards away (135 yards for women finalists). Louisville’s Kentucky Kingdom offers sneak peak during its first preview weekend

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — It’s official opening day isn’t until May 23, but hundreds couldn’t wait and took advantage of Kentucky Kingdom’s first preview weekend. The amusement park provides more than 1,000 seasonal jobs. With more rides on the way, that means more opportunities for job seekers. Louisville gets Special Preview of Republic Bank Pegasus Parade Tuesday

Festival fans can get a special preview of this week’s parade at the Republic Bank Pegasus Parade Preview Party tomorrow at the Kentucky Exposition Center in South Wing C. 2015 marks the 60th annual parade, which will feature approximately 100 units marching down Broadway on Thursday, April 30.  Each parade float and inflatable will be on display, complete with costumed characters, as well as equestrian units.
