Louisville restaurant offers prices based on the stock market losses.

DISHING UP STOCK MARKET FOOD AND DRINK U.S. stocks jumped the most in more than two years, rebounding from the worst drop since 2008, and 10-year Treasury yields touched a record low as the Federal Reserve vowed to keep interest rates near zero through mid-2013. Dish on Market is offering a new program based on the S&P 500 index – a Prime Rib cooked to order,…

You heard it first at LouisvilleKY.com

A close source from the Kimberly Greenwell camp has confirmed that Ms. Greenwell is anticipating running again on the democratic ticket..but are being tight lipped about what office she will run for next. If you recall she ran against Ron Crimm in the heavily Republic 33rd district in Louisville KY and lost. But she came closer to winning that district than any democrat in a long time. Greenwell  raised considerably more funds than Crimm and public records show that she raised considerably more than many down ticket candidates across the Commonwealth. Investigating closer I notice that Greenwell seems to be…

Louisville’s businesses are being over-charged

$2,124.80.That’s how much I’ve spent at Starbucks since I started tracking my expenditures two years ago. That works out to over $88 per month. Even that underestimates my consumption, because it excludes purchases at Heine Bros. and Red Hot Roasters. That’s a lot of coffee. And a lot of unnecessary spending. I know I spend a lot on coffee, but I never would have guessed it adds up to thousands of dollars. I consider myself a decent money manager. I max out my 401(k). I put aside a little each month for my kids’ college educations. I don’t have (too)…

Blow-up-Mattress on Mellwood Avenue, Louisville

The constant rain, flooding, traffic jams and wet feet has got a little boring now – for most of us that is. I don’t know about you, but it is times like this that I really wish I had a boat – not a fancy one – just one that can get me to the store, or perhaps to work. Maybe a boat would be fun to go fishing in? Now these kids have the same problem that I do – all except the going to work thing. But one has to admire their ingenuity. Look closely and you will…

Lucky Lou.

Louisville, 1/26/2011, KFC Yum Center. West Virginia was always going to be a tough game for UofL, but Pitino’s Cards came on to the court full of energy and took an early lead (14-7). Louisville’s lead didn’t last  long and West Virginia had taken both control and a commanding lead by half time (37-26). It was beginning to look like the game was over. Coming into the second half the first 5 minutes looked like more of the same until the Mountaineers simply lost interest. The Cards came back, albeit slowly. and it took W. Virginia fourteen minutes to score…
