LOUISVILLE, Ky. – No. 4 Louisville women’s basketball’s 81-49 win over Pittsburgh on Sunday afternoon clinched its first ever Atlantic Coast Conference regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the ACC Tournament.

The Cardinals open the tournament on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. ET against the No. 8 Syracuse/No. 9 Virginia Tech winner.

The ACC championship marks Louisville’s first conference title since they won the 2001 C-USA regular season title and its first conference title under head coach Jeff Walz. UofL enters postseason play with a 29-2 record, which marks its most regular season wins in program history.

The tournament will feature all 15 ACC teams and 14 games, beginning with three first-round matchups on Wednesday. Four second-round games are scheduled for Thursday, followed by the quarterfinals on Friday, the semifinals on Saturday and the championship game on Sunday at 2 p.m.
